Plaster Board

The task was to carry a sheet of plaster board through one room to the other then put them back on the pile neatly. this task was to see if we were able to carry a sheet properly and in the correct way. We had to carry out a risk assesment before doing anything. We had to wear safety boots incase he board was dropped onto our feet and goggles from the dust off the boards.

  1. Which PPE were worn? Gloves to protect the hands from gypsum; hands can dry out over time if not protected.
What was written on the side of the plasterboard (TE=tapered edge; SE=straight edged)? What were the dimensions of the plasterboard?
What was the correct method for carrying the boards?
How were the boards stacked at the end of the job? (Stacked flat to prevent bowing and bending).
